GORKHA: In Gorkha, a coalition of civil society organizations has announced a fundraising campaign to support the reconstruction of government infrastructure damaged during the GenG movement.
The collected funds will be deposited into the Nepal Government’s Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund. The campaign is scheduled to begin on Mangsir 14 and will conclude with a one-day collection drive. People and organizations are invited to contribute according to their capacity.
The fundraising drive will start from the municipality junction at Kholakhole and conclude at the new bus park in Gorkha.
“The collected support amount will be deposited into the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund, and the details will be submitted to the District Administration Office, Gorkha, as well as the Office of the Prime Minister. The list of contributors will also be made public through the media,” said Hari Devkota, coordinator of the campaign and president of the NGO Federation Gorkha.
It is said that the campaign is being jointly organized by various civil society organizations in Gorkha.
