He came to visit Nepal at the friendly invitation of President Ramchandra Paudel. He was received by President Paudel in the special room of Tribhuvan International Airport.

After completing his state visit to Bangladesh, he arrived in Kathmandu by a special plane this afternoon. On that occasion, in honor of the Amir of Qatar, a unit of the Nepali Army offered a salute with a 21-gun salute.
