Registration of nominations for members of the National Assembly in all seven provinces

Kathmandu: Nomination papers have been registered on Monday for the election to be held on January 25 for the 19 vacant posts of National Assembly members.

Nomination papers of candidates have been registered in the offices of election officers established in all seven provinces. Coalition parties, CPN-UML and other parties have registered their candidacies separately for the election.

In which, 10 candidates have been nominated from Congress, 6 candidates from Maoist Center, 2 candidates from United Socialist Party, and 1 candidate from Janata Samajwadi Party.

UML, which entered the field alone, has decided only 19 candidates. Rashtriya Prajatantra Party led by Rajendra Lingden is also alone in the election field.
